Congratulations;“ Cameron Brink’s announces wedding with Ben Felter after….
WNBA star rookie Cameron Brink is heading to the 2024 Olympics, and her boyfriend will of course be in the stands, cheering her on.
2024 has been an epic year for Cameron. In June, US Basketball announced Cameron would be heading to Paris this summer as part of the 3×3 women’s Olympic team, alongside Rhyne Howard, Cierra Burdick and Hailey Van Lith. In April, she left Stanford University basketball behind and was selected as the second overall pick in the WNBA draft by the Los Angeles Sparks. She even starred in a new SKIMS campaign alongside WNBA legends like Candace Parker and Kelsey Plum, and threw out the first pitch at a Dodgers game.
But no one (not even her god-sibling Steph Curry) has been cheering Cameron on more than boyfriend Ben Felter.
Ben is always there to support Cameron, and we can’t wait to see him in the stands in Paris. Here’s everything you need to know about this adorable couple.
Cameron Brink’s boyfriend is a Stanford athlete, too.
Like Cameron, Ben attended Stanford University, which appears to be where the two met. He’s also an athlete, competing as a starboard on the Stanford Rowing Team. The Palo Alto, California, native committed to the team in October 2019, ultimately competing for four years.
Ben majored in computer science and appeared on the Pac-12’s Spring Academic Honor Roll three times, per his athlete bio. He graduated this May, just like Cameron.
He helped lead the rowing team to some impressive showings, with Stanford placing first in the final for No. 2 boats at the 2023 IRA Championship, according to the university. Ben also rowed in the No. 5 seat on Stanford’s second Varsity Eight during the IRA Championships.
Plus, some of his training habits have since rubbed off on Cameron. While chatting with WH at the 2024 WNBA draft, she credited her boyfriend with getting her to drink water.
“[Ben] is a rower and they burn calories, lose sweat like crazy. And I kind of saw directly how much that affected his performance,” Cameron told WH, adding she now tries to drink a gallon a day. “I’ve just felt the differences mentally, physically, my skin, everything. So it’s such an easy fix to feel better as a whole.”
Ben works in computer science.
Ben studied computer science throughout his undergraduate career and, per his LinkedIn, he is now pursuing a masters in computer science with a concentration in artificial intelligence.
Ben has been a part-time technical intern in the U.S. Department of Defense’s Defense Innovation Unit since August 2022. He is now also working as a researcher for Stanford’s Artificial Intelligence Laboratory.
He’s close with his family.
Ben has two brothers, Darby and Max. Darby graduated West Point in 2023, while Max is set to graduate the military academy in 2026. And both are pretty impressive in their own right: In 2022 Darby was named Cadet of the Month by West Point’s Combat Terrorism Center, while Max served as a data analytics intern in the Army Analytics Group a year later.
Ben clearly loves spending time with his siblings, as he often posts pics of the trio hiking, biking, and swimming.
He enjoys art and spending time outdoors.
Ben enjoys time in the sun and surfing, particularly with Cameron by his side. He taught her how to surf, according to this truly adorable post.
They also spend a lot of time at the beach together and going on hikes, according to their social media accounts.
Ben has also introduced Cameron to new creative hobbies.
“My boyfriend has turned me into a huge art lover,” Cameron told People. “I love pottery and watercolor, even though I’m terrible.”
“It’s really lovely to just sit down and work your brain in a different way for a little bit,” she said, comparing it to the “meditative” routine of doing her makeup.
They began dating in 2021.
Ben and Cameron have been going strong for three years now, having just celebrated their anniversary in March.
“Three years together, a day to celebrate the soul that makes me whole ❤️” he wrote beneath a carousel of photos of the two of them.
Meanwhile, on their second anniversary, Cameron shared a video compilation of their relationship. The sweet clips showed the two jumping on the trampoline, swimming, paddleboarding, working out, and just overall enjoying each other’s company.
He’s her biggest fan.
Ben is constantly showing up for Cameron. When she was named the Pac-12 Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year, he commented, “LETS GOOOO” on her celebratory post.
Most recently, he shared a series of photos of Cameron at the draft on his IG Story.
“Beyond proud,” he captioned one. He added a series of purple and yellow hearts to another, in honor of the LA Sparks’ colors.
