Oklahoma Sooners Lose Another Player to Transfer Portal After Landing Big Commit

Another Oklahoma Sooners football player has announced he’s entering the transfer portal after OU landed Jaydn Ott earlier this week. The transfer portal officially opened on Wednesday.

 

Offensive lineman Josh Aisosa announced on April 18 that he’s entering the transfer portal, Sooners Wire reported. He has four years of eligibility and did not appear in any games in 2024.

 

Aisosa was a three-star prospect out of high school, who previously had offers from Tulsa, Iowa State, UNLV, North Texas, and Texas State.

He shared on social media: “I plan to enter the transfer portal with 4 years of eligibility left. Thank you Oklahoma for the experiences this past year and thank you to the coaches for giving me the opportunity to be here. For more information my DMs are open.”

 

His announcement is pinned to the top of his X profile.

A total of six players have decided to enter the portal so far, Sooners Wire noted. Defensive back Mykel Patterson-McDonald and defensive back Jocelyn Malaska entered the portal.

A total of six players have decided to enter the portal so far, Sooners Wire noted. Defensive back Mykel Patterson-McDonald and defensive back Jocelyn Malaska entered the portal.

 

On April 16, defensive back Pete Schuh announced on X that he was leaving the Sooners.

 

He wrote: “After much consideration, I will be entering the transfer portal with 2-3 years of eligibility remaining. I am extremely thankful for my time at the University of Oklahoma. Thank you to Coach Venables for the opportunity to be a sooner.”

 

Schuh was a preferred walk-on and played in two games in 2024.

 

Running back Sam Franklin and tight end Davon Mitchell also already announced their decisions to enter the transfer portal.
