St john Red storm Shock Fans with Mass Exodus: Key Players Leaving Due To…..

St. John’s Red Storm Stunned as Key Players Depart Amidst RJ Luis Jr.’s Exit

In a shocking turn of events, the St. John’s Red Storm men’s basketball program has been left reeling as several key players have announced their decision to leave the team. The mass exodus comes on the heels of RJ Luis Jr.’s departure, leaving fans and coaches alike scrambling to make sense of the sudden upheaval.

Luis Jr., a highly touted recruit and starter for the Red Storm, was the first to announce his departure, citing a desire to explore other opportunities. However, his exit was soon followed by a string of other players, including starters and bench contributors alike.

The departures have sent shockwaves through the St. John’s community, with fans taking to social media to express their dismay and disappointment. “This is a dark day for St. John’s basketball,” wrote one fan. “Losing RJ was bad enough, but now it seems like the entire team is falling apart.”

Coaches and administrators are working to stem the tide of departures, but it remains to be seen whether they can persuade any of the departing players to stay. “We understand that players have the right to make their own decisions, but we’re disappointed to see them go,” said a team spokesperson. “We’ll continue to work to build a strong program and attract top talent to St. John’s.”

The Red Storm’s roster is now in disarray, with several key positions left unoccupied. The team’s prospects for the upcoming season are uncertain, and fans are bracing themselves for a potentially tough year ahead.

As the news continues to sink in, attention is turning to the reasons behind the mass exodus. Some have speculated that a rift between players and coaches may be to blame, while others point to the lure of greener pastures elsewhere.

Whatever the reasons, one thing is clear: St. John’s Red Storm basketball is facing a crisis. Can the program recover from this devastating blow, or will it take years to rebuild? Only time will tell.

St. John’s basketball standout junior, RJ Luis, returns to court after surgery

The Red Storm forward is feeling much more confident entering his second season in Queens

It was a difficult debut season for RJ Luis with the St. John’s basketball program but none of it was by his own doing.

Luis suffered a broken hand in practice weeks before the season began, which was followed by a major flare up of chronic shin splints that sidelined him after just one game and limited his practice time through March

Between the start of the season in early November through January 1, Luis had only played in three games but still managed to take the court 21 times for the Johnnies last year and average 10.9 points and 4.6 rebounds per game.

It was known that the UMass transfer was likely going to need surgery after the season and time away from the court to heal properly, but now he’s already back on the floor.

“Rehabbing a lot,” Luis said of his summer on Wednesday night at a team NIL event at Applebee’s in Queens.
