BREAKING NEWS: 25 years old American professional baseball shortstop for the Kansas City Royals Bobby Witt Jr died in car accident few minutes ago after…

Bobby Witt Jr. grew up watching the Home Run Derby and All-Star Game with his family. They’d grill burgers together to celebrate the one week of the year where the best of the best baseball players competed against one another.

Witt Jr. said it was always something he loved to do.

The way Witt Jr., 24, will be celebrating All-Star Week this year looks different, however. And that’s because he will be on the field himself. He competed in the Home Run Derby on Monday and will play in the All-Star Game on Tuesday for the American League.

In his first round of the Derby at Globe Life Field, he hit 20 baseballs over the fence, his longest being 442 feet.

The Kansas City Royals shortstop credits the unwavering support from his loved ones as to why he’s spending his week in Dallas.
