Kam Williams Commits to Kentucky Wildcats, Boosting 2025 Basketball Class

In a major recruiting win for the University of Kentucky, rising star Kam Williams has officially committed to join the Kentucky Wildcats men’s basketball team. The talented guard announced his decision on Wednesday, choosing the Wildcats over several top-tier programs including Duke, Kansas, and Michigan State.

Williams, a 6-foot-4 playmaker known for his explosive scoring ability and lockdown defense, is currently ranked among the top 25 players in the 2025 recruiting class. His commitment gives Kentucky head coach John Calipari another elite weapon as the program looks to return to national championship contention.

“I’m excited to be a part of Big Blue Nation,” Williams said in a statement. “Coach Cal’s vision for my development and the program really stood out to me. I want to win, and I know Kentucky is the place to make that happen.”

Williams averaged 22.3 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 4.7 assists per game in his junior year, leading his high school team to a state semifinal appearance. His athleticism and high basketball IQ are expected to make an immediate impact once he arrives in Lexington.

With Williams on board, Kentucky continues to build one of the most impressive recruiting classes in the country for 2025.
