Details surrounding the incident remain scarce, but sources confirm that Lennon is receiving intensive medical care.

Lennon’s tenure at Rapid Bucharest was marked by challenges both on and off the pitch. Appointed in May 2024, he managed the team for only six matches, drawing five and losing one, before parting ways with the club in August . His departure followed a series of controversies, including a bizarre rumor alleging he had urinated on the training pitch, which he vehemently denied .

Prior to his stint in Romania, Lennon had a distinguished playing and managerial career. He captained Celtic to multiple league titles and European success, and later managed Hibernian and Bolton Wanderers. His most recent managerial role was at Omonia Nicosia in Cyprus, from which he departed in early 2024.

The football community has expressed an outpouring of support for Lennon during this challenging time. Former colleagues, players, and fans have taken to social media to send their well wishes and prayers for his recovery. At this time, further updates on his condition are awaited.
