SAD NEWS: Newcastle head couch Eddie Howe admitted to hospital…
Newcastle United’s head coach, Eddie Howe, has been admitted to the hospital after experiencing illness. The 47-year-old was hospitalized on Friday evening for medical evaluation and tests. Despite his condition, Howe remains conscious and is in communication with his family while receiving expert medical care.
Due to his hospitalization, Howe will miss Newcastle’s Premier League match against Manchester United at St. James’ Park on Sunday. In his absence, assistant head coach Jason Tindall and first-team coach Graeme Jones will oversee the team’s preparations and lead them during the match.
This marks only the second time Howe has missed a match since joining Newcastle in November 2021. The first absence occurred when he tested positive for COVID-19, leading to a period of self-isolation.
Under Howe’s leadership, Newcastle United has achieved significant milestones, including securing Premier League safety, qualifying for the Champions League, and winning their first domestic trophy in 70 years with a Carabao Cup victory over Liverpool. Currently, the team sits just one point behind fifth-placed Aston Villa, with two games in hand.
The club has expressed its full support for Howe during this time and wishes him a swift and full recovery. Further updates on his condition are expected to be provided in due course.
