Stana Katic’s relationship with her Castle co-star was full of drama, so much so that it fueled the fire enough to cancel the show altogether. The day Castle was canceled was a sad day for fans, as they were shut out of the world where Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic’s characters were married on the show and had great chemistry.
They plummeted back into a disappointing reality where co-stars Fillion and Katic were allegedly fighting on set so bad that Katic would go in her dressing room and cry. In other words, Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic reportedly couldn’t stand each other, and this feud allegedly played a part in the show ending after an impressive eight seasons.
But the truth about Castle’s end comes from a mixture of things, one being declining ratings and contract renewals one season at a time. Fans were also not happy about the reduced budget and gutted when it was announced that Katic would be leaving the show. All of these elements resulted in there being no season nine of Castle.
It is hard to separate truth from fiction, as a lot of what was said about Katic and Fillion’s feud was reported from other unnamed sources.
These insiders reported that “Stana would cry on set because Nathan was such a bully to her” and that “a lot of people who work on the show don’t like Nathan Fillion. It’s not just her.”
Sources even claimed that Fillion’s bullying was the reason behind Katic’s exit from the show.
“Nathan has been nasty to Stana for a long time. Stana was a pro, just wanted to get in there and do her job.”
