José Altuve amde a shocking announcement today after Astros to re-sign Alex Bregman for two years…

If you ask Jose Altuve, there’s only one thing the Houston Astros need to do this offseason.

The longtime second baseman reaffirmed his desire for the team to bring back third baseman Alex Bregman as he enters free agency following the Astros’ loss to the Detroit Tigers in the American League Wild Card Series on Wednesday.

“I’m pretty confident that (Alex) will be our third baseman next year,” Altuve said following Houston’s 5-2 loss to the Tigers. “We have to. We’re not going to be the same organization without him.”

“In my mind, there’s not a chance that this is the last game.”

Bregman, a two-time All-Star, has spent all nine years of his major league career in Houston and is expected to draw a lot of interest from other teams, as well as a bigger salary.
