Last night at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena, some of country music’s best came together to honor the late, great Big Dog Daddy… Toby Keith.

Dubbed American Icon: Toby Keith, the concert featured performances from Eric Church, Carrie Underwood, Ashley McBryde, Parker McCollum, Jelly Roll, Darius Rucker, The War and Treaty, Lainey Wilson and more. Proceeds from ticket sales also went on to benefit both The Toby Keith Foundation’s OK Kids Korral and the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt.

Of course, Toby sadly passed away in February at the age of 62 after a lengthy battle with stomach cancer, but his foundation continues to help out kids in his home state of Oklahoma and the communities there.

Lainey Wilson took the stage alongside Jamey Johnson for a performance of “Beer For My Horses,” a duet Toby released in 2003 with Willie Nelson. Written by Toby himself, alongside Scotty Emerick, the song was featured on his Unleashed record, which also featured hits like “Courtesy Of The Red, White & Blue,” as well as “Who’s Your Daddy.”

And Jamey and Lainey certainly did him justice. The full show will also air on NBC as a two-hour special on Wednesday, August 28th.
